You need a goat. Seriously.

There are places where you can hire goats to come and clear your property, even if you live in the city limits. They can eat poison ivy and not get hurt by it, and they LOVE blackberry brambles! They'll even leave "fertilizer" behind to help you build up the soil again.

In the meantime, plaster your face with oatmeal - it will help with the itching. Sleep with socks on your hands so you don't scratch in the middle of the night. Remember, this too shall pass.

Not only do I do the hand thing, I also try to grab a towel, blanket, shirt anything cloth handy because that is easier to wash than the couch or carpet (only two rooms left tip we are carpet free) .

The worst though is the car seat. I never did figure out how to get the cover off. I just hoses it down and left it in the sun.

I was actually thinking about this just today. Social media is killing socializing. It's killing our ability to communicate. And you're absolutely right: It's making us hate people we otherwise liked. And that's in addition to the fact that subtle misunderstandings can occur - in cyberspace - that affect our real-life relationships. I considered this whole issue personally because I feel like I'm completely out of practice with social interaction in general. I used to work, and teach at night. I gave presentations, ran meetings, and now? Now, I worry about having to participate in small talk with my next door neighbor. I don't know if it's good or not. I went from outgoing to socially awkward, and I don't know which way to turn now. Good post.
